Just us
What's there to say about us? We've been together for almost 7 years now after we met online. Mark proposed to me on the Eiffel Tower (story below). We decided to be married in Las Vegas because it's just us. It's not cheaper than getting married locally; it's just more fun. And that's us. Fun.
Proposal Story:
Paris.
September 22, 2010.
The Eiffel Tower.
Best. Proposal. Ever.
It was a site-seeing day like any other . After climbing a half million stairs at the Notre Dame Cathedral, Mark and Karen hoof it over to the Eiffel Tower and climb about a million more up to the line for the elevator to go to the top. Finally, they reach the top and begin the normal tour. Did you know they served Champagne at the top of the Eiffel Tower? They do! So Karen asks Mark if they should splurge for a couple glasses and he insists. They sip the champagne and make their way around, snapping pictures as they go.
At one point, Mark asks Karen to put his camera back in his backpack and then, mistakenly, an Aussie thinks Mark is asking him to take a picture of the two of them. Karen had already pulled the camera case out of the backpack and then proceeds to put it back into the pack. While doing this, Mark hands the Aussie the camera.
The Aussie impatiently asks what is she looking for and Mark says, "I think she is looking for this." At that time, Mark pulls out the ring and turns around handing it to Karen. She, in turn, begins crying and the Aussie as well as quite a few startled bystanders start snapping pictures. Then everyone starts snapping pictures and cheering. They had quite the crowd. Karen finally stops crying and he puts the ring on and she says yes.
